Business Development Representative

Department: Sales • Fully Remote • Full-time

What to expect from this role

PhishFort is the enforcement-first brand protection company. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Singapore, we work fully remotely with teams across five continents, including the US, Argentina, Singapore and South Africa.

We remove phishing, impersonation and online abuse across websites, social platforms, mobile apps and scam infrastructure. Our detection engines run 24/7. When a threat appears, we act. We take on the hard cases other providers leave behind, our blocklist protects more than 418 million users worldwide, and our free Nighthawk extension defends crypto users every day.

Where others notify, we remove. Yours will be the first conversation a brand has with us. Make it a direct one.

The role

This is a hybrid role: roughly 70% business development and 30% GTM and executive support.

The BDR side is what you would expect. You research accounts, run outbound, book qualified meetings and keep the pipeline moving. The support side is what makes this role unusual. You work alongside leadership and the GTM team on the operational work that keeps go-to-market running, from conference logistics to CRM hygiene to the brief an exec needs ten minutes before a call.

It suits someone early in their career who wants a sales foundation and real exposure to how a security company operates. You will see the top of the funnel and the inside of the business at the same time.

What you’ll do

Business development (~70%)

  • Build and prioritise target account lists across our verticals: crypto and Web3, financial services and fintech, healthcare, retail and e-commerce, technology and SaaS, and our newer gambling, betting and iGaming markets
  • Reach three very different buyers and adjust your message for each: the technical founder or CTO at a Web3 company, the Head of Security at an institution, and the analyst who will use our platform every day
  • Run multi-channel outbound across email, LinkedIn, X and Telegram. A lot of this industry lives in DMs, and you need to be comfortable there
  • Lead with evidence, not adjectives. We can often show a prospect the live phishing sites, fake apps and impersonation accounts targeting them right now. That is a far stronger opener than a pitch
  • Qualify inbound leads and route them to the right person quickly
  • Book and prepare discovery calls, then follow up so nothing goes cold
  • Track everything in the CRM: activity, notes, next steps and an honest read on each deal
  • Watch for buying signals such as token launches, exchange listings, funding rounds, security incidents, regulatory deadlines and new phishing campaigns targeting a brand
  • Represent PhishFort at industry events, and own the follow-up afterwards

GTM and executive support (~30%)

  • Support the founders and GTM leads with calendar coordination, inbox triage and scheduling across a lot of time zones
  • Prepare briefing notes and account context ahead of customer and partner calls, capture actions afterwards, and chase them
  • Own conference and event logistics: registrations, travel, meeting schedules, collateral and follow-up lists
  • Keep the CRM and GTM tooling clean and reliable, and flag where data or process is breaking down
  • Pull together the weekly pipeline and activity report
  • Help produce one-pagers, case studies and outreach templates with marketing
  • Pick up ad hoc operational work: vendor admin, invoice chasing, partner coordination and research projects

What we’re looking for

  • 1–3 years in a BDR, SDR, sales, customer-facing or coordination role. Strong candidates from adjacent backgrounds are welcome.
  • Excellent written English. Most of your outbound is written, and it needs to sound like a person rather than a template.
  • Real organisational ability. You track your own commitments and other people’s, and things do not fall through the cracks.
  • Comfort with shifting priorities. Some weeks are pipeline weeks and some are event weeks.
  • Curiosity about cybersecurity and crypto. You do not need to be an expert on day one, but you need to want to learn the space well enough to be credible with security leaders.
  • Discretion. You will see commercial, customer and internal information that stays internal.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with crypto, Web3 communities, fintech or the wider security industry
  • Experience with a CRM such as HubSpot or Salesforce, plus outbound tooling like Sales Navigator, Apollo or Clay
  • Prior experience supporting a founder or executive
  • A second language

Your first 90 days

  • Month 1: You know the product, the threat landscape and our verticals. You have shadowed calls, taken over CRM hygiene and started preparing exec meeting briefs.
  • Month 2: You are running your own sequences and booking qualified meetings. You own the event calendar and the weekly pipeline report.
  • Month 3: You hit your meeting target consistently and own at least one GTM operations process end to end.

How we work

We are fully remote and asynchronous by default, with team members spread across five continents. That means clear written communication matters more here than it would in an office, and so does owning your own schedule.

We are a small team, so you will have direct access to the founders and real ownership early. You will also see the day-to-day reality of phishing, fraud and online abuse, which is an unusually interesting place to build a career.

PhishFort is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
